December Holiday Party Recap

Today was so much fun! We had a full house, with lots of food, fun, creativity and Holiday Spirit to share.

In the interest of saving time, because I have barely started my Christmas shopping, this will be a brief post.

**A reminder that there will not be a Sew In this month due to the holidays.**
**Our Friendship Group will begin with it's first meeting on Saturday, January 18th from 1:00 to 4:30 pm at Strawberry Patches.**

Here are photos of our Show and Tell, including all of the fabulous table runners that were swapped.

Wishing you all the happiest of holidays!

And finally, a BIG announcement.......
December 14th will be the last meeting of the Bakersfield Modern Quilt Guild. For nearly three years, we have tried to grow our membership and find leadership among our members. Unfortunately, we do not have the volunteers necessary to serve on the Board. The current board discussed the situation and has decided that the best option for our members is to close the guild as it is and to continue strictly as a Friendship Group. Several people have comment about their disappointment in the guild not continuing......BUT, we will be continuing, just in a less formal arrangement. Details regarding the new Friendship Group will be posted here and emailed to the group soon.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!
