Question of the Week

Question Mark Clip Art
This week's question is all about thread. I only use Aurifil thread for piecing, and I'll sometimes use it for longarm quilting. I also use Isacord and Superior Threads products for longarming. What threads do you prefer for piecing and quilting?

  1. I like Aurifil thread for piecing and I'm using it for decorative top stitching on the Spring Bouquet applique quilt. I've used other threads, but come back to Aurifil for most machine sewing. For hand applique I love, love YLI silk thread for it's lovely silky stitching and it's ability to sink into the background. The quality of strong, extremely fine thread makes hand applique a dream. Need to try it to believe it!
    Great question!! Thanks Lynn!

  2. Aurifil for piecing, and Superior's King Tut and The Bottom Line for quilting. Still have some other brands for piecing that I haven't used up, but I really think I'll go with Aurifil from here on out.
